Debora Gurgel

Debora Gurgel’s album is here!

I’m in it, singing three songs: “Até Onde a Alma Leva”, no lyrics, beautiful piece by Debora, “Despedida” and “Encrenca”, two new songs written by both of us!
It’s an enormous pleasure to be able to play with these amazing musicians, Debora’s trio with Thiago Rabello (drums) and Sidiel Vieira (acoustic bass), Guilherme Ribeiro playing the accordion in “Despedida”, and the “Septeto S/A” in “Encrenca” (an expression that pretty much means “complicated”), with a bunch of horns and complicated songs, that plays every monday at São Cristóvão! “Septeto S/A” is Debora Gurgel (piano), Marinho Andreotti (ac. bass), Cuca Teixeira (drums), Vitor Alcântara (tenor sax), Carlos Alberto Alcântara (tenor sax), Maurício “Laws” de Souza (alto sax and flute) and Daniel D’Alcântara (trumpet and flugelhorn).

This album feels like my own, my child (or sibling, who knows?). I also participated by working on the photos, graphic design and videos.
“Baião da Dona Dé”, “Neneca” and “Clara da Lua” are some other of my songs written with Debora that were recorded in instrumental versions. It’s really amazing guys, you must listen to it!

If you’re looking to purchase the album, you can already do it online.
Buy it in mp3 or higher res files at Bandcamp, starting from US$ 5, with the pdf booklet.
The CD itself can be directly ordered by e-mail for now, and then paid for with Paypal, but will soon be available in most international stores.
